Is your organization going through changes?

I offer customized, hands-on internal and external communications strategy and execution support for a wide range of organizational change scenarios, including:

  • Changes in leadership, including both internal and external proponents.

  • New organizational strategy, including the introduction of new divisions and processes, the sundowning of existing service lines and facilities, and changes in organizational priorities and direction.

  • New organizational structures, including mergers and acquisitions, as well as changes in functions and reporting lines.

  • Changes in staffing, including large scale reductions-in-force, multiple rounds of layoffs, and hiring in new operational areas.

These are challenging and stressful situations for everyone involved; I do everything I can to help alleviate some of that anxiety by sharing my knowledge of comparable situations and anticipating and navigating bumps in the road ahead. In most cases, I’ve been here before and I will do all I can to help.

I’ve helped leaders and boards work through a wide range of internal and external issues, including loss of life and injury, financial improprieties, misconduct, and legal proceedings. I can provide all essential services, such as strategy, monitoring, messaging and media training.

I build highly targeted, scalable communications strategies for every need, such as launching new programs, campaigns or organizations; reaching or engaging new audiences; or delivering important reports or research findings.

These strategies can be tailored to meet your needs, and can include everything from communications objectives, strategic imperatives, audience profiles, key messages, tactics and timelines. My focus is on working effectively with clients to ensure the strategy I deliver fits your priorities, needs and realities.

I’m here to help.

I’ve had the good fortune and privilege of having an endlessly interesting 20-year communications career working in leading agencies and at major not-for-profit organizations.

I’ve worked across many sectors, including municipal government, healthcare, post-secondary education, natural resources, agriculture, manufacturing, technology, finance, and retail.

My core skill set is corporate communications – strategy, messaging, content development and more – for internal and external target audiences. Over time my interest and training in change management (including Prosci certification) have expanded my focus to organizational change communications.

I have had the opportunity to work with a wide range of organizations navigating major changes. Some have been large operations with numerous and sensitive stakeholder groups; others have been smaller organizations looking for guidance with limited resources. One thing they all have in common is the need to deliver complex information to multiple stakeholder groups with clarity, consistency and compassion, usually through multiple channels.

This is my passion: helping organizations navigate change and challenges well and with care and humanity.
